 Animal Inn

ANIMAL INN has had the happy experience of caring for many fascinating pets in addition to dogs and cats.  We have taken care of birds of numerous varieties, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters and chinchillas.

Most of these pets need a special environment.  We request that you please supply a secure and suitable enclosure for your pet, plus special food and bedding appropriate for the species.  Rates for these pets will be quoted according to the amount of care they need and the size of the cage.

FEEDING & MEDICATION
All pets are fed up to 2 meals per day.  Morning medications are administered between 7:15 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.  Afternoon medications are administered between 4-5 p.m.  Once-daily medications are usually given with the evening feeding unless we are instructed otherwise.  We can distribute medications up to 2 times per day upon request.

DAILY INSPECTION
Each pet is carefully checked two times daily for general behavior, eating habits, activity level, elimination, attitude, etc., by our experienced staff.  Immediate action is taken if any health problem is noted.

VETERINARY SERVICES
We make every effort to contact your veterinarian should the need arise, since he or she knows your pet and has the appropriate medical records. If your veterinarian is unavailable or is more than 10 miles away, we will contact one of several that are available to us on a 24-hour basis.
